Our mission…? Challenging accepted norms.

As humans we say the most random shit to each other on a daily basis. Some of this shit is toxic. It might make you feel better, but it can make the other person feel invisible, unheard, even shamed.

PMC aims to shine a torch on those parts using dark humour, yet educating and exposing them at the same time. We use juxtaposition, irony, oxymorons and pushing the envelope to show them up. PMC also plays with the standard pretty florals alongside dark humour and sarcastic quotes just to mix up the homogonous new age candle space for kicks and giggles.

What is toxic positivity? - An excessive optimistic state across all situations. The process of toxic positivity results in the denial, minimisation, and invalidation of the authentic human emotional experience. Example – “It wasn’t meant to be… look at the bright side, there will be a lesson in there somewhere…get a gratitude journal…”

Why is it ok to openly say, “Jesus loves you” – That’s a rather large assumption to be made on behalf or a person that lived 2 millennia ago… (no we don’t need an email quoting bible references)
